Teaching with AI Certification: Level 2 – Build

Quick Summary

Turn policy into practice. Build teaches you to redesign a course and signature assignment with responsible AI—balancing integrity, engagement, and authentic assessment.

Full Course Description

You’ve got the foundation. Now you’ll apply it where it matters most: course and assignment design. In Build (Level 2 of the Teaching with AI: FAST Track Certification), you’ll map AI integration across a course using backward design, then transform a key assignment with clear expectations and smart guardrails.

Using the META framework (Metacognition, Ethics, Tools, Application) and the AI Fluency Map, you’ll scaffold student learning, raise the bar on academic integrity, and make feedback loops faster and more meaningful. You’ll leave with a fully redesigned, AI-integrated assignment ready to deploy.

You’ll Learn To

  • Map AI integration points across a course (backward design).
  • Apply META to create authentic, ethically sound assignments.
  • Build formative feedback strategies that pair AI efficiency with human insight.
  • Create student-facing resources that build AI literacy.
  • Demonstrate FAFI Level 2 fluency (Teaching Practice Integration + Student Guidance).
