Teaching with AI Certification: Level 3 – Elevate

Quick Summary

Go from competent to cutting-edge. Elevate helps experienced faculty design high-impact learning experiences—capstones, UDL-aligned projects, and AI as a co-creator—while modeling advanced ethics and leadership.

Full Course Description

You’ve integrated AI responsibly; now push the frontier. Elevate (Level 3 of the Teachign with AI: FAST Track Certification) is for faculty who want to design multi-stage, high-impact learning with AI as a collaborative partner—and do it in ways that are inclusive, ethical, and scalable.

You’ll apply Universal Design for Learning (UDL) to expand access, develop mitigation strategies for discipline-specific risks, and craft a signature innovation you can publish, present, or use for professional recognition. You’ll leave with an advanced artifact and a plan for ongoing leadership or fellowship.

You’ll Learn To

  • Design complex, multi-step projects (e.g., capstones) with AI as co-creator.
  • Apply UDL to use AI for more inclusive, accessible course materials.
  • Analyze and mitigate discipline-specific ethical edge cases.
  • Produce a portfolio-worthy artifact that demonstrates FAFI Level 3 fluency.
  • Build a personal action plan for continued pedagogical leadership.

Who This Is For

  • Experienced faculty with working AI fluency (or Level 2 complete)
  • Program/course leads and IDs driving innovation and quality
  • Faculty seeking a publishable/portfolio artifact or fellowship path
